You know that super awesome feeling when you hold your sweet baby for the first time and you are just instantly in LOVE, or when your toddler is finally asleep for the night and you could just watch them sleep for hours....it's the sweetest thing ever.
There are so many incredible moments to experience as a parent, the gift of these precious little humans is undeniable. So as you read on you must understand that I love our children, your children...all children. I've been called the "baby whisperer"...I love the smell of a newborn baby or a little one just out of the bath. All those baby smells...the powder and lotion, and don't get me started on the baby toes.
Suddenly you wake up one day to kids that are taller than you, they use too much toilet paper, never want to eat what took 2hours to cook, come home past curfew. somehow managed a report card with more D's than B's.....you know those kinds of things.
Teenagers or young adults today are quite different, they know so much more than we ever did because "back in the old days" as they say, we didn't have the technology. "Did you have computers even when you were my age"? - well yes and we had a working indoor toilet too,....
What a blessing our children are, whether toddlers or teens, big tantrums or small, God reminds us "this too shall pass" - so we take the good with the bad because the truth is THEY ARE JUST LIKE WE WERE !!!!! So we take a deep breath look at our spouse and proclaim the truth.....he/she is just like YOU. haaahahahahahahahahah
